On May 31st the Society for Calligraphy & Handwriting (SCH) will be sponsoring the workshop, “Making Monoprints with Nan Robkin and Lisa Leong-Tsang” in Renton, WA.
In this workshop students will learn the basics of several kinds of monoprinting. Included are gelatin plate printing, traditional monoprinting from a plastic plate, gyotaku (fish prints) using plastic models, nature printing, and, time and weather permitting, cyanotypes. There will be opportunities to use your calligraphic skills in making the prints, and suggested uses for the prints.
Lisa and Nan are mixed-media artists who love to share what they know. Last Fall they taught a popular workshop on making fabric paper. The Monoprint Workshop promises to be just as much fun!
For more information and the registration form, please view the workshops page on our website. Please register by May 16th.
Please join us for this fun and educational workshop. We look forward to seeing you there!
