Welcome to The Society for Calligraphy & Handwriting (SCH). SCH is located in the Greater Seattle, Washington metropolitan area, meeting mainly on the Eastside of Lake Washington in Bellevue.
SCH holds meetings and workshops throughout the year, focusing on calligraphy and related art forms. The meetings and workshops provide an enthusiastic exchange in the form of lectures, demonstrations, hands-on instruction or art projects.

The Society for Calligraphy & Handwriting’s (SCH) next meeting is Thursday, November 15th, starting at 7:00 pm at our new location, Chinook Middle School, 2001 98th Ave NE Bellevue, WA 98004, in Room 1404. Please view our meetings page for a map and directions.
Kay Lewis will be presenting “Chopstick Sumi”. She will show us how to use chopsticks and Parker Quink to make sumi-like images.
Please bring a water container, paper towels, a #8 pointed round brush (or what you have) and a pencil. Kay will provide the ink, chopsticks, watercolor paper and handouts. The supply fee is $5.00.
Enjoy participating in an optional raffle for $2.00. Visitors are welcome to attend to see if they would like to join our guild. We look forward to seeing you there!
