Welcome to The Society for Calligraphy & Handwriting (SCH). SCH is located in the Greater Seattle, Washington metropolitan area, meeting mainly on the Eastside of Lake Washington in Bellevue.
SCH holds meetings and workshops throughout the year, focusing on calligraphy and related art forms. The meetings and workshops provide an enthusiastic exchange in the form of lectures, demonstrations, hands-on instruction or slide presentations.

The Society for Calligraphy & Handwriting’s (SCH) next meeting is Thursday, April 16th, at 7pm. It will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue in room UC-105. Please view our meetings page for the address and directions.
Lisa Leong-Tsang will be presenting Sumi-e Painting of Bamboo. She will demonstrate the basic strokes in bamboo painting and how they relate to beautiful calligraphy.
Bring any Sumi supplies you own such as Chinese brushes, an ink stone, ink sticks, rice paper, a mixing dish and a water container. Lisa will provide ink and rice paper. The supply fee will be $2.00. Some supplies will be available for purchase if you do not have anything.
Enjoy participating in an optional raffle for $2.00. We welcome visitors who are interested in learning more about SCH. We look forward to seeing you there!
