Welcome to The Society for Calligraphy & Handwriting (SCH). SCH is located in the Greater Seattle, Washington metropolitan area, meeting mainly on the Eastside of Lake Washington in Bellevue.
SCH holds meetings and workshops throughout the year, focusing on calligraphy and related art forms. The meetings and workshops provide an enthusiastic exchange in the form of lectures, demonstrations, hands-on instruction or art projects.

Our dear friend and past-president, Pamela Pincha-Wagener, passed away on January 10, 2017. She graciously shared her many talents and gifts with SCH for many years. She will be missed tremendously.

The Society for Calligraphy & Handwriting’s (SCH) next meeting is Thursday, March 16th, at 7pm at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue in room UC-105. Please view our meetings page for the address and directions.
In honor of St. Patrick’s day our presenter, Kathy Barker, will begin with a brief study of the Book of Kells and historical Irish manuscripts. From this inspiration, we will try our hand at writing the Uncial alphabet. The evening will conclude with the opportunity to create an Irish Blessing greeting card or gift quote.
Please bring your Parallel pens – both 3.8 mm (green lid) and 2.4 mm (yellow-orange), a C-Thru ruler and a mechanical pencil or well sharpened graphite drawing pencil. Supply fee will be $2.00.
Enjoy participating in an optional raffle for $2.00. Visitors are welcome to attend to see if they would like to join our guild. We look forward to seeing you there!
