Westcoast Calligraphy Society Workshop via Zoom: Fanciful Cadel Alphabet with Vivian Mungal
Dates: September 13, 20, 27, 2023
Sessions: 3 – 3 hour sessions with a scheduled 15 min. break
Time: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Pacific (PDT)
Class size: minimum of 12 with a maximum of 25 students
Fee (for all three sessions): $110 Cdn
NOTE: You do not have to be a member of Westcoast Calligraphy Soc. to register. We are NOT charging a non-member fee.
Classes will be recorded, and the recordings will be available for 2 months.

Washington State Fair Exhibit
The State Fair is accepting calligraphy entries for exhibit in September! Please help me get this information to all the calligraphers in your area/guild. Online registration is due by August 16, and entries must be brought to the Fair August 18-20. Here are the details for all skill-levels of hobbyists/non-professionals (who will not be competing against teachers or professionals):
There is no cost to enter, and besides ribbons, winning entries can earn up to $100! Each person can enter up to 6 items, and we can help get your pieces to the Fair. Entries must have been made within the past two years. Entry categories (classes) are:
1 (class 4000) Letterforms only, on unaltered Paper
2 (class 4005) Lettering with Embellishments, on Paper (embellishments can include backgrounds, flowers, illustrations, collage, embossing, etc.)
3 (class 4010) Lettering on Material other than Paper (such as rock, wood, fabric items, metal, leather, cup, hat, etc…)
4 (class 4015) Hand-made, hand-lettered Card (no photocopies)
5 (class 4017) Envelope (public or fictitious addresses are best)
6 (class 4020). Hand-lettered book or booklet (folded or stitched)
This is a wonderful opportunity to display your work to the public!
