On March 29th the Society for Calligraphy & Handwriting (SCH) will be sponsoring the workshop, “The Foundational Hand, A One-Day Review of a Classic Style of Calligraphy with Jocelyn Curry” in Renton, WA.
The Foundational Hand is an upright style based on the circle and originally derived from the earlier Carolingian style of lettering. This “learning” hand was developed by Edward Johnston in the early 20th century in England.
In this class, we will review the lower case letters, practice them with Uncials as caps, and try our hand at some variations. Suitable for those with some broad-edged pen experience.
For more information and the registration form, please view the workshops page on our website.
Please join us for this fun and educational workshop. We look forward to seeing you there!
