On March 12, 2016 the Society for Calligraphy & Handwriting (SCH) will be sponsoring the workshop, “Pointed Pen Variations – Uncial with Brigitte Hefferan” in Renton, WA.
Come and explore the advantages of using a pointed pen to create new and exciting letter forms. Using a few basic strokes, students will create patterns and designs to loosen up and then create a playful “uncialized” script. Unique projects to inspire you! All levels of lettering artists are welcome.
Brigitte Hefferan teaches calligraphy classes at the Frances Anderson Center and at ArtWorks in Edmonds, Washington; and Letters of Joy, the regional letter arts annual event sponsored by Write on Calligraphers. She travels with her pen to offer workshops to calligraphy guilds. As a freelance artist she explores ways to combine her passion for lettering with watercolors, oils and other mediums.
