The Society for Calligraphy & Handwriting’s (SCH) next meeting is Thursday, October 15th, at 7:00 pm via Zoom.
Kathy Barker will be presenting Art Nouveau lettering. Immerse yourself in the art, design and history of this fascinating study. Using exemplars we will analyze and practice the letterforms. We will also learn how to draw the iconic rose.
Most of our study can easily be done using a 4B or 6 B pencil. Speedball pen nibs in various sizes will be helpful; but not essential.
Basic supplies needed:
– Drawing pencil: either 4B or 6B.
– Mechanical pencil
– Eraser
– Good quality translucent drafting paper – Canson Marker or other
– Tracing paper
